Subject: sea life Dimensions (inches): 36 x 24 Medium: acrylic on canvas Description: A surrealist painting depicting the tragedy of the sinking of S.S. Medina during WW1 interwoven with scenes from 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' by Samuel Coleridge Taylor. A copy of the book was recovered from the wreck and it is this that has inspired 'Sea Song'. Look closely at the painting and you will find characters from 'The Rime' hidden in the folds of the story-teller's dress and peeping out from among the poppies...
