From an early age, Andrew was fascinated with birds, and they remain one of his favorite and most frequently explored subjects. Andrew shares his studio with his two pet parrots, both of whom spend much of their time "assisting" Andrew while he works.

No genre in the history of art has the power to transport the audience to another place like landscape. Andrew takes frequent hikes in the geographically diverse greater Bay Area to find new and interesting locations to paint.

Inspired by a love of Modern Artists such as Piet Mondrian, coupled with a reverance for the American trompe l'oeil still lifes of William Harnett and John Haberle, Andrew has created a still life technique that is uniquely his own.
