Subject: Harris Hawk and Jackrabbit Dimensions (inches): 16 x 20 Medium: oil on board Description: A Harris Hawk swoops down on a young Jackrabbit as it tries to flee through the cactus of the dry dessert region of the Grand Canyon. I witnessed this scene when I was the artist-in-residence in the Grand Canyon National Park several years ago. I was unable to capture the escapade with my camera but tried to capture that same scene with my oil paints.
