Subject: Bufflehead Dimensions (inches): 16 x 21 Medium: oil on board Description: Out of the Mist is a oil painting of a male and female Bufflehead coming out last years reeds from the mist into the light of the morning sun. I see Buffleheads in Western New York where I live during the winter months and the early spring. After that they are hard to find in my area. In my travels to the Pacific Northwest I have been able to study the birds more as they seem to be more common there. This pair lives on a popular golf course that is surrounded on one side by cattails.
