WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE SINGING COWBOYS?  (2012)
Subject: Western
Dimensions (inches): 18 x 21
Medium: oil
Description: This painting is a tribute to the good old days of the wild west as portrayed in the black and white movies of yesteryear. Gene Autry is the subject matter of this oil painting. This painting features objects that were marketed by the original singing cowboy. They range from a 78 rpm record, an Autry cap pistol, a mailing envelope addressed to one of his fans, one of Mr. Autry's press photos as well as a piece from the cover of one of his multiple 78's record album. The last piece is held by a thread which is a pin back button of Gene.
