Subject: Elk Dimensions (inches): 13 x 18 Medium: oil Description: A male elk takes a short drink on the edge of the Thompson River in Moraine Park in the Rocky Mountain National Park in his pursuit of female elk in the autumn rut. This painting recently won the 2010 Colorado Commemorative Habitat Stamp Art Contest and will be featured as a print, stamp and gold plated bronze medallion in the future conservation efforts sponsered by the Colorado Wildlife Heritage Foundation.
