Subject: Ferruginous Hawk Dimensions (inches): 20 x 29.75 Medium: Acrylic Description: These are probably my favorite raptors because they are so magnificent. The farm fields and grasslands in Arizona are a prime wintering area. It does get cold here, though, so these birds take full advantage of the warming sun before they head to the fields to hunt the gophers and ground squirrels in the fields.
