Subject: Canvas sneakers Dimensions (inches): 7.75 x 11.75 Medium: Oil Description: Sometimes the simplest of things will have a great impact on me. In seeing this casually discarded footwear I was suddenly struck with a sense of time and place far removed from the fast pace our daily routines often impose upon us. By keeping the sneakers sharp against a soft, only partly resolved background, I hoped to convey a more universal experience rather than document a specific occasion.
