Subject: Canada Lynx Dimensions (inches): 15.25 x 24 Medium: Oil Description: I have always engaged in making studies of various subjects, sometimes in anticipation of a finished work, sometimes simply for the sake of my own pleasure and interest. This painting, while drawing upon a study format is in fact a final painting in terms of both concept and finish. The freedom of composition that this approach allows is especially exciting, as is the introduction of free passages of brushwork, etc. that can be manipulated to act in compliment to the more structural components within the piece.
