Description: If you were to go quietly through the jungles of the Northeastern Amazon until you came upon a small Lek, you would first hear the raucous cries of the Pidgeon sized Cock-Of-The-Rock and then see a dozen brilliant orange balls of feathers hanging from lianas, strutting and displaying on the ground like a bunch of Whirling Dervishes, all vying for the favor of a single, rather drab female. This whole wild affair comes to a screeching halt when the object of all this attention makes her choice by flying down to her chosen mate and giving him a single peck on the back of his neck.
