"Our town holds an annual garden tour which I look forward to each summer. You see the most unusual and interesting backyards. I was especially fascinated with this particular garden where every plant was placed in pots and elevated to different levels, which made the most consolidated and abundant assortment of textures and color."
Linda was awarded the CPA COLOR AWARD for this little gem at the Cider Painters of America 28th Annual International Exhibit of Miniature Art, Kingston, PA. This piece also received BEST FOR ACRYLIC at the 7th Annual Artistic Designs Miniature Fine Art Show, Brownsburg, IN; At the Heartland Art Guild International Miniature Art Show it received a MERIT AWARD; In Winter Haven, FL it received an AWARD OF EXCELLENCE from the Ridge Art Association. And still another decoration was given for this very complex little painting at the Sulphur Springs Valley Miniature Art Show in Wilcox, AZ where it was voted as the PEOPLE'S CHOICE.
Traditional miniature art is fine art painted in small scale with minute attention to detail. Paintings must be able to withstand close inspection without revealing faults. Subject matter must be one-sixth of life size or smaller and painted no larger than twenty-five square inches.
