Big Sky Country - Cougar by Linda Rossin
  Big Sky Country
Subject: Cougar
Dimensions (inches): 24 x 36
Description: Living in the eastern part of the U.S. and surrounded by deciduous forests only enables me to see snippets of the land and small pockets of blue. Whenever I travel out west I am transfixed, not just by the size of the sky, but by everything that surrounds me. My latest trip westward resulted in this realistic abstraction of a grooming cougar, seated among some formidable and unique rock formations under a big, clear, western sky.

An Honorable Mention Award was given to "Big Sky Country" for the 25th Anniversary of "Animals in Art" at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.
