Watercolor on Arches Rough Description: In 2000 David was commissioned to create a special edition Grand Opening Poster to commemorate the opening of the multi-million dollar 'Australian Outback' facility at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. He worked extensively with the zoo staff and their resident population of Koalas to create this poster. He finally settled upon a design that shows a baby Koala climbing up on top of its mother's head. This is not only a typical place for baby Koalas to ride about, but David also chose it to symbolically represent 'the promise of new beginnings'.
