Subject: India's peacocks Dimensions (inches): 0 x 0 Medium: transparent watercolor on Arches Rough 140lb. paper Description: You can't visit India without coming in contact with wild & domestic peacocks. And I've been painting them for a long time now. They are truly the single most remarkable birds in the world, but a challenge to paint. Years ago I actually established an artistic goal for myself, to try and capture the 'essence' of peacocks without resorting to the laborious overindulgence in detail that is so easy to slip into. In a rather Zen type approach, I try to paint them with as 'little' brushwork detail as possible, in what I've come to define as a type of 'Realistic Impressionistic' manner.
