A Safe Place - White-tailed Deer by Colin Starkevich
  A Safe Place  (2014)
Subject: White-tailed Deer
Dimensions (inches): 30 x 36
Medium: acrylic on canvas
Description: The White-tailed deer now inhabits the Grasslands with its cousin, the Mule deer. Here a young buck pauses for a moment before disappearing into the depths of the foggy coulees for safety. Like this deer, I feel all of us should have a place in nature which provides us with a sense of safety. Where we can be alone, even if it's for a short period, to relax our minds and simply enjoy the moment. I feel this can do wonders for our souls.
