Description: Recipient of Ducks Unlimited Alberta 2009 Artist of The Year Award.
With each step toward this owl's nest near a farmyard, I kept thinking, "Any time now, Mama Owl is going to swoop down and take my scalp off!"
Amazingly enough, she sat very calmly in the nest, but always kept a watchful eye. The baby owl appeared much more wary of my approach, intensified by his "Who's there?" wide eyes.
