Description: Hildies Return

This is Hildie, an Eastern Grey Kangaroo. She was an orphan found in Hildebrand Road 14 years ago. She was raised by Stella and Alan and released at their property, Wildhaven, St Andrews, Victoria. This is Hildie returning to Wildhaven seven days after the fires of February 7th 2009. Some charcoal from the fire was used on the trees in the background. Hildie was one of two kangaroos that survived the fires in St Andrews in which thousands of others perished.
