Subject: Orcas Dimensions (inches): 30 x 20 Medium: Acrylic on canvas Description: Back in the mid '90s a good number of my paintings were going to a chain of galleries in Japan. They requested that I do a painting of humpback whales with purple water which I found to be a strange request but reluctantly I went ahead and did it. Surprisingly I enjoyed the process and the freedom of stepping out of my comfort zone. I then followed up with Mystic Embrace, which to this day one of my favorites. I just recently released L/E giclee prints along with a bronze sculpture by the same title which was modeled after this painting.
