Paddling always seem to attract an entourage of curious wildlife to share the journey with me. Whether it's the Bald Eagles in the trees or the seals in the water, there is always a collection of characters to keep me company. There is another fellow explorer that isn't so quiet. He's quick to join me, chattering and chirping, flitting from perch to perch in search of his next meal. He teases me by sitting just long enough to lure me into pulling out my camera before he flits away to his next perch laughing the whole way. It is difficult to get a nice long look at a Kingfisher.
