Description:
Renowned marine life artist Wyland's first original painting for 2011, Sea of Tranquility, features a close encounter with a large pod of bottlenose dolphins just below the surface in warm clear waters. Through Wyland's mastery, the viewer feels the sensation of weightlessness as the dolphins swim in natural display of curiosity and intelligence. 'Of all the amazing things that a diver can experience, none compares to that moment in time when the dolphins seem to take an interest and share their world of light, color and motion,' Wyland says. 'These experiences have been the inspiration for my marine life art from the very beginning.'
Sea of Tranquility is now available exclusively at Wyland Galleries as a large limited edition, hand-signed and numbered giclee on canvas. It is the artist's official work in celebration of his 50 years since he begin painting at age four, from 1961 through 2011. This outstanding new artwork is expected to be one of the artist's best and most collected limited editions.
