Subject: Snowleopard after markhors Dimensions (inches): 48 x 72 Medium: Oil on linen Description: Snowleopard and markhors are endemic to most of the northern areas of Pakistan. Markhors are being successfully protected in Pakistan through community based trophy hunting programmes which leads to generation of enough funds to protect the animals. I am amazed by the ability of snowleopard to hunt down these big goats on a tracherous terrain and this inspired me to paint these beauties in action. This is one of the most challenging paintings for me to do. This is a commissioned artwork.
