Subject: American Robin Dimensions (inches): 19 x 14 Medium: watercolor Description: It was January and freezing. I had just returned to Oregon, after several months in England, and found a welcoming committee of American Robins perched next to my studio windows in a maple tree. Their plumage was fluffed in keeping warm. For the painting, I wanted the Robin in an apple tree with frosted apples.
