Often people ask me where I get my ideas from; sometimes paintings just grow out an experience. I decided one beautiful summer day to take a walk around our farm. On the farm we have a field where nature has taken over; the grass is overgrown, the brambles tumble down and fallen trees rot and decay. In the middle of the field was a beautiful white rose lit with warm summer sun. It was surrounded by buttercups and various types of grasses, the bees were buzzing and the birds were twittering in the background, it just seemed to encapsulate the feeling of summer.

I came back to the studio with an image and as I stared at the photo, I wondered how many creatures there were that I hadn't taken time to find, from that grew ‘Natures Secrets'. So often we overlook a small patch like this but within it lies many treasures. Can you find the five hidden bugs in the painting?
