Subject: Grevy's Zebra (SOLD) Dimensions (inches): 10 x 7 Medium: Graphite and India Ink Description: This drawing is of a zebra of course, but for me it is really about patterns—those created by the zebra's stripes, and those created by the strong shadows cast by bright sunlight. I named the drawing for one of my favorite Amish quilt patterns. The way the stripes come together at the base of the animal's tail is actually reminiscent of the quilt squares and both the quilt and the drawing are all about the contrast of dark with light.
