This piece is a collection of life forms that are all very temporary in nature, either in life span or in their stages of transition. The flower has found a way to thrive amidst the red rocks in a small patch of soil, and has become a gathering place for other life. |

Ascension |
"Ascension" is an attempt to express the delicate and changing balance of nature. Two Spotted Eagle rays ascend, spiraling towards the surface tails entwined around an abstracted whip coral structure. Ascensions' composition also attempts to convey the inter-dependence of nature. The sculptures structural strength relies on the balance of the minimalist elements. |

"Bloom" |

"Bloom" is a fantasy piece about the sea for me, it is about uninhibited free association and taking chances. |

Conflicting Interests |
This piece about protection of life and the irony of survival to me. A mother dolphin protects her young from a mother octopus who is protecting her young, tucked behind a coral structure resembling a human hand. This piece won first place in sculpture and scrimshaw at the 33rd annual Miniature Art Society of Florida international art show and competition. |

Brothers in Arms |

A tiny section of reef can house hundreds of different species. This pen set represents a section of reef where three vastly different "armed" species meet. |

Kelp Dreams |
This piece comes from memories of watching an Orca "study" us one afternoon in Southeast Alaska. The interaction went on for almost an hour. The experience was surreal to me. Orca in the wild can be seen rubbing against all sorts of textures, pebbles, Kelp etc. |
