Description: In 2004, I spent two weeks painting the fjord in Pangnirtung. My favourite mountain, covered in white snow, stood out against the blue sky. In 2007, three years later, I returned to find that the mountain tops had completely melted, except this last triangle of snow. My fears were confirmed by local Inuit artists, who said that snow and ice that had been there for centuries, completely melted in the past 5 years.
