Subject: Arctic Dimensions (inches): 36 x 48 Description: In 2004, I was able to take a boat ride to the entrance of Auyuittuq Park on Baffin Island and sat and painted on location. This painting was done from that sketch. At that time, I had NO idea how drastically the view would change in such a short time. Auyuittuq in Inuktituk means 'Glaciers that never melt'. But, the glaciers are drastically melting. In 2008 the path on the west side of the river was completely washed out from a glacier flooding a lake in the park.
