I've always been thrilled to see a Steller's Jay; the blues are so inviting to an artist. There are a number of subspecies of this stunning bird found throughout Central America, North America, and Canada. I thought it would be appropriate to paint the Queen Charlotte Steller's Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri carlottae - variety) among the poles found at Haida Gwaii (aka Queen Charlotte Islands) located on the north coast of British Columbia, Canada.
This painting is framed and now for sale at the festival or by contacting me directly.
