Subject: Tree Fungus and Fall Leaves Dimensions (inches): 30 x 40 x 1.5 Medium: Oil on Canvas Description: Living in a forest as I do it is ineveitable that trees die and must be cleared away if near the house. In the deep woods I make take a dead tree down to prevent damage to other trees but I leave the remains there to return to the earth. These stumps are close to the deck overlooking the pond. I loved the variety of textures and combinations of both muted and brilliant colors. A wonderful subject to paint!
