Description: Mammoths, and their role as a keystone species in the dramatic panorama of the Euyrasian and N. American Ice Age, have always fascinated me. Here among the first snow flurries of the fall, a young bull falls into line behind others of his band to begin the migration from the north European plain to the more sheltered valleys of the south.
