Medium: acrylic on masonite
Description: This painting was inspired by a place on top of a mountain near our home where this field was left unused for several years. The old rusty gate is frozen to the ground in the open position and appears to be bent and sagging from years of being ridden by the farm kids who couldn't resist swinging on it while traveling through to do their chores. Red-tailed hawks abound in the area and are frequent hunters in this abandoned field.
